FACE Chair Prof John Storan gave a keynote speech at this year’s CNESCO annual International Comparisons Conference, which took place in Paris on the November 8th and 9th. The conference brought together more than 250 delegates as well as 3,000 viewers on-line as proceedings were streamed live to several countries. One of the major themes for this year’s conference was HE outreach and comparing the various approaches developed by the countries represented–this played a major part of the plenary debates over the two days of conferencing. John’s contribution focused on the UK and the findings from the mapping of HE outreach research that Continuum has been undertaking, working with schools and HEIs across London. There were also international contributions from Denmark, Malta, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Sweden, France, Switzerland.
